For women who have a bulky chest causing discomfort or physical repercussions such as, neck, shoulder and back pain, we have solutions!
What is a breast reduction?
Breast reduction, also known as a mammaplasty or mammoplasty, aims to reduce the breast size, to correct the ptosis (sagging) and fix any asymmetry to obtain more proportional breasts. The goal is to get both breasts symmetrical with volumes adapted to the morphology of the patient.
Le candidat idéal
Women who present a bulky chest causing embarrassment or physical repercussions such as back pain, neck pain and shoulder pain.
Dr. Zadeh performs the removal of excess glandular tissue. The residual glandular volume is then raised, concentrated and remodeled. The excess skin is excised to ensure a good contour (curve) to the new breasts. It is often recommended that liposuction of the axilla be done at the same time to obtain a more sculpted and esthetic appearance.
Dr. Teanoosh Zadeh executes this procedure under general anesthesia to ensure patient safety.
- Poor healing of scars
- Altered sensitivity to nipples
- Difficulty breast feeding
All risks and complications will be thoroughly explained during your consultation with Dr.Zadeh.
Post operative and healing
There is little to no pain after the procedure. Swelling and bruising is common and will disappear within two weeks. Any pain can be controlled with painkillers prescribed by Dr. Zadeh. A dressing is applied following surgery and replaced between three to five days by a compression bra to be worn for one month. Follow up visits are done with Dr. Zadeh at his clinic and visible end results can be seen after six months. IPL treatments can be recommended to help the overall esthetic appearance.
