Erasing the signs of time …
SOME PEOPLE HAVE A TIRED OR SEVERE APPEARANCE, EVEN THOUGH THEY FEEL GREAT. THIS IS OFTEN CAUSED BY EYEBROWS THAT HAVE DROOPED DOWNWARD TOWARD THE UPPER EYELIDS. THIS IS DUE TO GENETIC PREDISPOSITION OR RELAXING OF THE TISSUE CAUSED BY AGING. LIFTING THE EYEBROWS, POSSIBLY IN COMBINATION WITH EYE SURGERY, CAN CORRECT THIS SITUATION.
What is an eyebrow lift?
An eyebrow lift is a procedure that repositions the tip of the eyebrow upwards, smoothing out “crow’s feet” while adding slight tension to the outer part of the eyelids. The operation consists of lifting and removing some excess skin, and releasing certain ligaments around the eyes that retain the skin, along with tightening of the tissues.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate has drooping eyebrows that make them look tired. If you want to eliminate this loosening of the skin around your upper eyelids, eyebrow lift surgery can be a great solution and will give you a rejuvenating facial effect.
THE PROCEDURE
This process involves raising the ends of the eyebrows or, in some cases, the forehead. This lends the face an overall rejuvenating effect.
Dr. Zadeh makes two small incisions behind the hairline. The frontal skin is tightened and repositioned. This surgery can be done on its own or accompanied by a facelift or eyelid lift. You can discuss these options directly with Dr. Zadeh during your first consultation.

POST-OPERATIVE MONITORING
After surgery, the eyebrow area will be swollen and tender. Your vision may be blurred temporarily due to an eye ointment applied by Dr. Zadeh during surgery. It is advisable to rest after this operation, keeping your head elevated. For 48 to 72 hours after the operation, you’ll be instructed to apply ice to your face. Edema and bruising will disappear after a few days. Oral medications prescribed by Dr. Zadeh may reduce pain and sensitivity.
After the eyebrow lift, the time for complete recovery varies from one patient to another, but most patients can return to work and exercise after two weeks. The results of the surgery will be visible immediately and will improve over the subsequent 2 to 3 weeks as the edema recedes.
Following this type of surgery, Dr. Zadeh urges Dysport or Botox treatment to maintain the positive results of surgery for as long as possible.
